Once a decision has been made as to the actual size of the Blast Room required, anticipate an additional 3 to 4 feet around all sides of your components to allow for the free movement of your Blast Room operations. You should plan additional overhead space of 3 to 5 feet for placement of lighting and ceiling components.
Consider the weight of parts to be blasted and the weight of any equipment used to move those parts when designing your blast room. Be sure the power sources and utilities available on your site are adequate: Single or 3-phase; 220/240/480 volts; compressed air CFM and PSI.
